KARL ALLEN // Director​

​As a self-shooting PD, AD and Director, I have extensive experience working on a variety of projects.

I am passionate about directing and storytelling, and I am well-versed in story structure. My ability to work directly with talent and contributors to build strong connections with subjects make me the perfect candidate for anyone looking for a self-shooting PD or AP with the skills and experience necessary to build rapport and create compelling stories. 

This makes me an ideal candidate for projects where building rapport is essential, as I am comfortable with every aspect of the production process. Furthermore, I have dual citizenship for the UK and for the U.S.A, so I'm able to work abroad.

With over 10 years of experience, I am familiar with most cameras and sound rigs, and I specialize in shooting on my personal Sony FX9 and Red Dragon.

In addition, I am proficient in all editing software, from Final Cut Pro to Davinci, and have my own autocue system that I have used in the trickiest of situations. 
a graduate of Central Saint Martin's School of Art (UAL) with honors in Fine Art and holds a Masters in Filmmaking from the Brighton Screen and Film  School.(2022) With a strong passion for the arts.
